Woven threads clothing. Yeah I liked my own comment fight me. This film might just be a masterpiece. Threads has got to be the most frightening film that has ever been made - a hellish traumatising vision of one possible future for mankind. The most frightening thing of all is this nightmare scenario could easily happen - so, so easily! This film can NOT have been easy to make - and definately not easy to watch. It scared the living daylights out of me when it was first shown back in the 1980's. I ghoulishly bought a DVD copy recently and, in retrospect, I shouldn't have done - having vivid nightmares several nights running after seeing it. Its bleak, harrowing, bone-chilling imagery continues to gnaw at my soul. My thanks go to the BBC and everyone involved in this project and my eternal curses go to the people who invented and continue to develop this unspeakable weapon! I fervently pray that this NEVER comes true.
